JOMA for Wastewater Reclamation Facilities Construction Services

Borderland Construction Company Inc
July 22-August 1 2024

Our Arizona crew was contracted by Borderland Construction Company to line a 48” steel pipeline including four 30” connecting laterals. The majority of work had to be conducted from inside a sewage holding tank at Pima County’s Tres Rios Wastewater Treatment Plant.  As pictured, the host pipe was severely deteriorated with many sections of the top rotted out due to the sewer gases. To line this, we installed a full-length safety sleeve to protect the liner from over expansion in the missing pipe sections.  We also lined the lateral connections with our United Felts fiberglass patch system.  To finish up the project, we applied corrosion resistant epoxy around all connection points of the laterals and mainline liner ends to ensure a proper seal and transition. This emergency installation was Phase 1. We will now be moving downstream of this section for Phase 2.

“I just wanted to call and commend you and your crew-you guys kick ass.  They’re doing a wonderful job and making progress everyday.”
